Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a sampler of many different astrophysics concepts tackled in relatively digestible chapters, covering the laws of nature, dark matter, black holes, and more, in just 244 pages. Tyson uses a narrative style of writing and aims to make these topics accessible to more than just astrophysicists, resulting in an interesting and concise overview of the wonders of astrophysics and our slice of the universe. We recommend this book to anyone interested in astrophysics or science in general, but recognize that if you wish to get a very precise understanding of the concepts in this book, prior understanding of basic physics and space concepts is helpful.
